The WCC XXXXIV has now been completed, and Torry Knights, managed by sprinter have been crowned World Club Cup Champions for the 1st time beating Castors Allumés who are managed by Flamini 30 - 27 at the Victoria Bridge Stadium in Scotland.

Castors Allumés, were probably favourites from at the start, and it looked ominous when they scored 1st and wer 7 points up at the 3 minute mark, but the Royals drew level at the 7 minute mark, and from then on it was a very tight match. In fact it was a drop goal in the 75th minute of the game that sealed it for the Royals...and the rest is now history.

Congratulations to all the other managers who took out the trophies in the groups.....some very fine, well contested efforts

Next we have the prestigious "Iorwerth Award" which was created in honour of BR manager and WCC Founder Iorwerth, and it is awarded to the team or teams that we believe have played throughout each season's competition with the commitment, passion and spirit, that was originally intended for the WCC, when the competition idea was conceived.

This season the Trophy goes to Bulawayo Bulldogs manager djswannie who has been a WCC and IGTWCC regular for many years, and has had some success across the years, but he is always back for more, regardless of where or who he faces, him and managers like him are the reason the comp has been successful .......for so long

So I am proud to announce this season's Iorwerth Award goes to;

WCC XXXXIV IORWERTH AWARD
Bulawayo Bulldogs: Manager djswannie

As mentioned a few seasons ago, I decided to introduce the WCC RFS Sportsman Award, in honour of one of the WCC Founders manager RFS.

For a long time I have been the face of the WCC, but there was work and reputation that preceded me and I have been proud to evolve and grow the comp since the early days, but RFS & Iorwerth were the managers who started the journey.

The Trophy contains a Shield and RFS's Basingwerk RFC "Well Warriors" Logo.

This season the Trophy goes to Tremulous Sheep Of Antioch manager, Quindecagon who has also been with us for many seasons, in varying levels of the comp, but always competeing with great sportsmanship I believe,he and many like him are the reasons the WCC has been the no.1 comp for many seasons.
