XXXX Round 2
The WCC XXXX 2nd Group Round has now been completed, results and group tables updated. Just in case you were not aware, you can look at your groups results in 2 ways. You can click HERE and see the Teams page, and after you have found your Teams name, click on the group link above to go direct to your group QwikLink, like THIS one. Or you can just go directly to the Groups page HERE and navigate your way through each group as you choose. Once there you can navigate your way through any of the WCC Website. XXXIX Champion Crowned
The WCC XXXIX has now been completed, and ivelostmysparky 's Catfish Crusaders have been crowned World Club Cup Champions for the 2nd time beating Reigning Champions, Safe Hands Koodoo Rand Diamond Geezers 28 - 3 at the Cove Stadium in New Zealand. The Geezers final did not start well, losing USA NT Player Teina Amosa in the 5th minute, and with him they may have lost a bit of self control, as it was only 4 penalties that separated both teams at the half. This season the Trophy goes to Catfish Crusaders manager ivelostmysparky who has pulled off a remarkable finals series to take their 2nd crown...and we are glad to have them in the WCC So I am proud to announce this season's Iorwerth Award goes to; WCC XXXIX IORWERTH AWARD Catfish Crusaders: Manager ivelostmysparky As mentioned a few seasons ago, I decided to introduce the WCC RFS Sportsman Award, in honour of one of the WCC Founders manager RFS. For a long time I have been the face of the WCC, but there was work and reputation that preceded me and I have been proud to evolve and grow the comp since the early days, but RFS & Iorwerth were the managers who started the journey. The Trophy contains a Shield and RFS's Basingwerk RFC "Well Warriors" Logo. This season the Trophy goes to Aberystwyth Wanderers manager fatman who has also been with us for many seasons, in varying levels of the comp, but always there, always competing.....and always ready for the next season.....he and many like him are the reasons the WCC has been the no.1 comp for many seasons. He stunning run in the Cup this season, knocking off some great teams including mikemike778 's 5 times Champions Team Frodsham Koala Bears, is a feat in itself WCC XXXIX RFS SPORTSMAN AWARDS Aberystwyth Wanderers - Manager: fatman The top scorer sheets have also been updated, and you can see the Winners HERE All Trophies have now been awarded This also means that the winners will take part in the WCC Masters in the next week or so, over 2 Legs. XXXIX Finals Beckon
The WCC XXXIX Group Rounds have now been completed, and the results and group tables have been updated, which means we move onto the finals next week, starting with the Knockout Rd. All finals fixtures have been entered, and the website has been updated. Please accept your final fixture as HERE soon as possible, if you finished in the top four of your groups. Unfortunately if you finished in 5th place, your WCC season is now over, but there is good news.......it is not long until Season 40 Begins. You can see the full list of finals HERE. XXXIX Round 6
The WCC XXXIX 6th Group Round has now been completed, results and group tables updated. If you look at your groups, you will notice that the teams that will at this stage progress onto the finals are in white, and the teams in the "Danger Area" are now highlighted in Red. So if you do not finish in the top 4 in your group, your WCC journey will be over for this season.......so as we have reached the halfway stage in the group rounds, now is the time to try and secure your spot. XXXVIII Champion Crowned
The WCC XXXVIII has now been completed, and Safe Hands Koodoo Rand Diamond Geezers have been crowned World Club Cup Champions for the 6th time beating Reigning champions qpeace 's Beginners Mind RFC, 10 - 33 at Lowbury Stadium in Scotland. The Geezers lead from the start when prop Clint Makama trundled across the try line in the 4th minute, and they actually kept the Mind scoreless in the 1st half. They were simply too strong and their 6th title was really just a formality.
