WCC XIX Champion Crowned

The WCC XIX (S19) has been concluded and Hoi An have been crowned "Un-Official" World Club Champions for an amazing 4th time, defeating reigning champions Jolly Roger Crew at Tortuga Bay Stadium

With a 1 point lead at Half-Time, Hoi An manager Hanoi, must have had his tactics spot on as he overcame HGA to finally win the Cup Final 29-48.

Fly-Half Angelo Ricca again had a great day kicking 18 points, and consolidating his lead to once again with the Cup/Plate MVP, a feat that he has achieved in 2 other seasons.

Commiserations to Jolly Roger Crews manager Batmancagone, who played gallantly as always, but I am sure he will be back to have another crack next season.

The Iorwerth Award

Next we have prestigious "Iorwerth Award", which was created in honour of BR manager and WCC Founder Iorwerth. It is awarded to the team that we believe has played throughout each season's competition with the commitment, passion and spirit, that was originally intended for the WCC, when the competition idea was conceived.

This season there could only be one winner, and the WCC XIX Season 18 Iorwerth Award will be given to Hanoi's Hoi An, for his awesome effort in winning his 4th World Club Championship......an effort so far only bettered by the Frodsham Koala Bears.
