The WCC XXV 3rd group round has now been completed, results entered and the group tables have been updated.

The top scorer sheets have also been updated, and you can see the QwikLink HERE.

This week we have been lucky enough to interview Chiredzi Hippos manager Fatman, who kindly answered the questions I sent out.

Fatman's team 1st debuted in the IGTWCC in S22 and the WCC in S23, but have quickly made their mark winning the IGTWCC Bowl and Top Points Scorer in S22, the IGTWCC Plate, WCC Shield and Masters Shield in S23....and we are delighted to have his team competing in both Comps.

Thanks again fatman

1) What keeps you coming back to the WCC or IGTWCC season after season?
The quality of the opposition. It is always fun to be playing teams of a similar calibre week in and week out. I get a real sense of satisfaction from a win, especially in the WCC where it's usually your best side on equal intensity.

2 ) Did you, or do you still play Rugby in real life? If so, what position did you play?
Many many years ago.. flanker.

3 ) What do you like best about Blackout Rugby?
The way the game is both complex enough to be a reasonably accurate simulation, but simple enough to allow a manager to focus on the fun bits. I also have really enjoyed being part of a great (if small) community in Zim.

4 ) Favourite day of the BR Week ?
Probably Tuesdays and Thursdays, training days are important and I get the added bonus of the WCC on a Thursday.

5 ) What have been some of your highs and lows of your BR career ?
Managing the Zim NT was undoubtedly the best thing i have done.. it was a real privilege to be allowed to represent my community.

My lowest point was feeling that i was not welcome in my home nation, due to a certain manager being a bully on the off-site. I had only been playing a few seasons and nearly quit. However, this did make me move out of wales and start over in Zim, so all's well that end's well i guess.

6) Which managers in the game do you have the most respect for and why?
Personally it's Mattt (Super Hero's In Training). I have a lot of time for Safe Hands, he's proven himself a very astute tactician and built a great club in a small nation, but Mattt was simply awesome during his time with the Zim NT and a great guy to spend time chatting to as well.

I should mention Flintoff here, but he's rubbish so i won't. ;)

7 ) Name one thing that you would like to change on BR ?
Narrow pyramid league structure.

8 ) Your Goal for this season ?
Fun, as always.

9) Would you rather be ranked No.1 in the World or have trained up the best ever player?
No1 please.

10 ) What is your best advise or tip, to young newbie Manager?
Patience with some added patience on top.
