The WCC LX has now been completed, and the Koodoo Rand Diamond Geezers managed by Safe Hands have been crowned World Club Cup Champions for the 9th time, beating Fijian Cup Champions and multiple WCC Trophy winners Manu Istros, managed by mistro 35 - 16 at the Old Mine Stadium in Zimbabwe.
It was a tight game in the 1st half, and the Mistles, should be proud of the way they were very competitive, with the home team only taking a 3 point lead in at half time. and when Lavrov went over the try line in the 60th minute, it looked like a comeback was on the cards, but the Geezers eventually proved to be too strong
A big well done to all the other managers who took out the trophies in the groups.....some very fine, well contested efforts

Next we have the prestigious "Iorwerth Award" which was created in honour of BR manager and WCC Founder Iorwerth, and it is awarded to the team or teams that we believe have played throughout each season's competition with the commitment, passion and spirit, that was originally intended for the WCC, when the competition idea was conceived.
This season I am awading the trophy to donkeysaint who manages the Auckland Katipos who has taken part from at least Season 28, who had horror draws in the Cup this season and won some great contests, and finally managed to win 3rd Place in the Cup, and it is managers with competitive spirit like him, which continues to make the WCC the original and oldest comp on BR, well done mate
So I am proud to announce this season's Iorwerth Award goes to;
WCC LX IORWERTH AWARD
